Well not a great for Thanksgiving closed at 3pm and i work nights so i couldn't get there till 3pm. and instead of putting it down online like they should they didnt so i walked in the cold for no reason. Also they close different times every year for thanksgiving so if you're gonna go you have till like 12 pm to get there other wise you may be to late.
Produce is always great quality here. It is a smaller Dillons, so occasionally I can’t find certain items, but that isn’t too much of an issue. Most of my problems tend to be with the staff and the self-checkouts. The new self-check outs with the conveyor belts are ridiculous. They have made lines way longer, because instead of 3 kiosks, now you have 1. Another issue is that I can no longer mute the loud and piercing voice at the self-check outs. I’ve also had multiple times now where staff members have tried to scan and bag my items despite it being a self-check out. I use the self-check out because I want to be in and out as quick as possible and bag my items the way I’d like them to be bagged.
This place is a joke I am literally in contact with corporate for all of the bad things they have been doing to employees and customers I have lots of video proof and pictures this is absolutely sad. I love dillons but this location is the absolute worst. Ronda the manager there picks and chooses who she wants to help and who she doesn’t want to help. I witnessed a special needs girl get called stupid and she did nothing about it. Instead she just told the girl it was a joke, that’s sad because they have no care in the world for their own own employees or customers! I cannot wait till they get what they deserve because they are disgusting.
This Dylan's is definitely my go-to store. It always carries the fresh fruits and vegetables that I love. They always have an awesome selection on cereal, that is well stocked. And their meat section is fantastic.
Sure do miss Kroger since we moved from Colorado. (King Super and City Market are Kroger stores in Colorado). Same with Dillons. So, since the closest Dillons to Olathe is in Lawrence, we make the long drive occasionally to get the Kroger brand items like the Private Select Honey Ham at the Deli and Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt and several other things you can't find at any of the Kansas area stores.
This store on 23rd is kinda compact, but has most of what we need. And it has a nice little Starbucks inside too. The Deli is better than almost any grocery deli in Olathe. It's worth an occasional 30 minute drive to get the things we have always liked from Kroger's in Texas and Colorado.
We really like shopping at this 23rd street store. People are always friendly and very helpful.. Pharmacy staff have always been great to work with also. This store is usually very well stocked with everything we need and has a very good produce selection also. Wish we had a store like this near us in West Olathe!
I applied back in November, left several messages for the hiring manager, who I was told was really good at returning calls. Then in June, I attended a job fair, and they had a booth. I applied. Got an email for open interviews, and wasn't able to make so I emailed back, because the email said to let them know and they would schedule a time if the open interviews didn't work. Again, I got another email about open interviews, that I wasn't able to attend, and replied with the same email. Never heard back, and then got an email, stating they had chosen someone else.
Also, I have to walk or ride the bus wherever I go, and carry a backpack. As I'm shopping, someone told me to empty my bag or he was calling the police. I had all my items in the cart and not my bag. ANd he called me stupid as well. So I just left, and went to another store to get what I needed.
The self checkout machine wasn’t allowing my boyfriend or I’s payment to process, and Ryan, the self checkout cashier at the time, jumped in and payed for our groceries without being asked. Five stars, such a kind gesture.
Do not buy these at dillons. They sell previously thawed out meat and keep it on the shelves. Second box in a row that was bad and they know it because I called and told them to get a refund and I bought another bad box because they're still on the shelf.Lousy
